Our first-ever Telling Spree is taking place at Danu Social House on August 29th from 11am to 11pm! The Spree is a twelve-hour celebration of the arts of voice and story, featuring storytellers, musicians, and a dancer/choreographer. A number of storytellers who perform at our monthly story gatherings (the second Tuesday of each month) are bring their finest folktales, legends, wisdom stories, ghost stories, trickster tales, myths, jokes, riddles, and wondertales.

11:00 am – 12:00 pm First Workshop: Your Story Begins in Your Body – Dancer/choreographer Annemarie Cabri leads storytellers through a sequence of eight whole-body movement patterns that ready your creativity, breath, and body for performance.

12:30 pm – 1:30 pm Second Workshop: The Red Thread of the Story – Storyteller/writer Dan Yashinsky uses playful exercises to explore the mysterious question of what makes your listeners want to know what happens next.  

2:00 pm – 3:15 pm Foolishwise performed by Eden Nameri, Adham Husseini, Celia Lottridge, Dan Yashinsky, Asha J.
